Description
The component of HPB – High Performance Base (Bedding) is limestone chips. It’s perfect for a variety of do-it-yourself projects. Only pea-sized fragments of limestone are present, and the stone is 1/4″ clean and free of impurities. Though it has been thoroughly cleaned, HPB resembles limestone screenings in appearance and makes a significant impact. Screens made of limestone wick away water, particularly when compacted.
Despite being well-compacted, HPB’s angular and relatively tiny particle size allows it to flow water with great efficiency. The degree of particle angularity determines how stable an HPB layer is. The aggregate must be contained in order to increase stability.
The weight of one cubic yard of HPB is about 1.25 tons. The weight may change based on HPB’s humidity level.
